Hello!
My name is Ethan Applefeld, I’m an industrial designer from Newcastle Washington. I focus on user centric design principals and utilize emergent technologies to create novel, exciting experiences for users. My focus blends my love for complex problem solving with elegant, intuitive solutions. I specialize in business, and enterprise level solutions for multifaceted problems. I blend my vast technical knowledge with industrial design principals to introduce effective and realistic design insights for major industries. I am a nerd’s, nerd; my love for design stems from my need to understand how things work and why they work the way they do. This natural curiosity towards the world compels me to maintain a thorough understanding of the natural and man-made world in which we all live.
I have a deep love for video games, music, wood and metal working, and nature. When not playing drums, learning a new type of joinery in the workshop, or designing replica video game props, I can most often be found hiking or camping in the northeastern Washington wilderness. I have a personal passion for high quality tools and have a large collection of drafting pens that I will happily talk anyone’s ear off about.
